Did you know you could be fined £2,500 for not signalling?
Drivers can face £2,500 for not signalling and you can be fined for not signalling even if there are no other cars.
Not signalling before a manoeuvre not only leave other road users at risk of an accident. It could also cost you your licence.
You could also be fined for failing to signal for a pedestrian. Which would be on top of nine points and maybe a disqualification for leaving fellow road users in harm’s way.
There is no specific motoring offence if you fail to signal your intentions to a pedestrian. But in the event of an incident, you could be charged for driving without due care and attention.
Pedestrians have priority if they are halfway across the road you’re trying to turn in to, you need to wait for them to cross.
A further report found many motorists did not know that swearing at other road users could also result in a fine.
Are you fed up with the number of drivers in this town who don’t use their indicators?
