Cleethorpes’ Jungle Zoo is giving fans the opportunity to purchase the ultimate memento following the attraction’s shock closure.
The facility closed its doors for the final time last month to the widespread disappointment of locals and tourists.
Speaking at the time a spokesperson said: “We have seen an enormous rise in general running costs and due to several factors it has become clear the zoo is no longer able to carry on.
“As you can imagine it has taken a lot of thinking about, we are devastated but we simply have no choice.”
Now that the animals have all been relocated to their new homes the Jungle Zoo is auctioning off it’s lion sculpture to raise funds for local charity Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue.
The auction is being run via the Jungle Zoo’s Facebook page. The auction closes on the 18th of November and the highest bidder will be able to collect the sculpture as early as this month!
