‘Homemade’ new business ‘Clouds’ opens in prime Cleethorpes spot

A new quaint business operating as a cafe, bar, and restaurant has opened up in an idyllic spot of a former Cleethorpes nightclub.

We visited the location and were greeted by welcoming views, out onto the beach from the nicely lit main room, which has a decorated ‘cloud’ ceiling with LED lights interwoven.

The site is understood to have been named ‘Clouds’ as previously it was known, as just that, though it operated as a nightclub.

We spoke to manager Will Clifford, who was eager to share the idea of the promising ‘Clouds’ that is ‘very promising’. The Sea Road site is just down from the junction, it is adjacent to the previous Waves site, but Mr. Clifford hopes they will offer a ‘different dimension’ for the prime site.

“We aren’t replacing the former Waves pub (Submarine as some know) but we are offering a to give a different dimension, not just an eatery, but a bar too. You can sit and look out to the water, whilst being near everything else.

“I think this will be ideal for people, just come in and grab something to eat, and a drink, and transport and everything else is right on the doorstep. ” he said.

Manager Will Clifford said:

“We are opening for a private invitation-only event tomorrow night, and the official opening will be on Friday.

“We’re going to be doing theme nights once a month, tapas, Mexican, American, and Greek nights, which will be once a month. There will be live music and Christmas parties, we can seat up to 120.

“In the winter we would mainly host function parties and events, weddings, and much more!

“With a view like this it’s absolutely needed, especially after Armed Forces Weekend, it showed us what we really need!

“We’ve had football presentations where people have been sat enjoying the view all night, without realising the time. ”

The room has great potential for live music and functions, with a view everyone can appreciate. They will officially open on Friday, 15 July.
