By Arson spike in Cleethorpes as multiple cars set alight
There have been multiple reports of arson over the weekend, as two cars are reported to have been set ablaze in Cleethorpes.
Humberside Police have said on Saturday, July 9, two vehicles were on fire on Brereton Avenue, Cleethorpes, and they are believed to have been targeted in an arson attack. The attacks occurred early in the hours at around 2:30 am Saturday, July 9.
There is currently one vehicle at the scene still, with obvious signs of significant damage from the blaze.
In their statement regarding the incident, Humberside Police provided a statement of information so far:
“Shortly after 2.30am on Saturday 9 July we were called to reports of two vehicles on fire on Brereton Avenue in Cleethorpes.
“We are investigating the vehicle fires as arson and would appeal for anyone with information to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 75 of 9 July 2022.”
