Driver identified by Police in alleged car park collision
A driver who failed to stop after allegedly hitting a mother and her two children has said to have been identified in police inquiries.
The incident happened in the Lidl car park on Cromwell Road, Grimsby. Police are due to speak with them.
The family was walking in the car park on Friday (July 8), at around 3.20 pm, when the alleged collision happened.
Humberside Police said they had now located the driver, who is due to be interviewed in connection with the incident. A spokesperson for the force said:
“We were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and three people in a supermarket car park on Cromwell Road in Grimsby.”
The spokesperson added: “The incident was reported at 3.20 pm on Friday 8 July. One person sustained a serious injury and was taken to hospital for treatment
“The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene. They have now been identified and will be interviewed in connection with the incident.”
