Sidney Park Partnership continues their tireless effort for the community!
Locally loved Sidney Park Partnership has continued their hard work through another litter pick, this time, at the Fuller Street bridge area, following on from the tireless effort and concern they have for the community, and natural area.
Aside from their regular activities, a litter pick was, by the group, in the Fuller Street area, where the council has provided PPE and pickers for usage.
The group has big plans for the future of the park, as they have already carried out various works in the ‘Jubilee’ Garden, they hope to continue their vital work and provide a great future for the community. The group can be seen regularly carrying out maintenance in the park and improving the area.
“The SPP will be litter picking the Fuller st area of the beach tonight from 4 pm and we would love for you all to join us. The council has provided us with PPE and pickers for the afternoon and I’ll bring ice creams for all the little helpers who join us,” they said before the pick.
“After being approached by a concerned local resident we decided to give him a hand litter picking the beach near the Fuller Street bridge. 8 little champions took 8 full bags of rubbish off the beach! Well done to you all, and a massive thank you from everyone at the Sidney Park Partnership.” they said after the pick.
Following this, an event set for the tight-knitted local network surrounding Sidney Park will feature a Community Feast, at the park.
The group, Sidney Park Partnership, posted to social media advertising the fantastic feast, where attendees can bring food and beverages to share an evening with like-minded others.
The Sidney Park Partnership, including various others, work hard to maintain their park and the local area. A regular litter-pick takes place every Monday by local children who are concerned about their environment. The litter pick was founded by children of SPP, who led the charge in keeping their park wonderful.
In their post regarding the event they said:
“We would love you all to come and join us for our first Community Feast at Sidney Park on Friday 15th July 2022, from 5 pm.
“Prepare and share a meal with the SPP Community or simply join us for food and a chat.
“Please be aware if bringing hot/warm food we have no way of warming it up on-site so it will need to be hot on arrival.
“We look forward to seeing you all there.”
