Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue announces plans to reopen!
A positive update has been shared by locally adored Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue, they have announced their intent to open their services back up, one step at a time.
They have provided an update on social media, with their plans to slowly open again, on 20-21 July, to focus on their most common admissions.
In their post Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue said:
“Let’s start by saying thank you to all who have got us so far already, we thought our closure would be for months but we’re slowly able to look at opening back up, one step at a time! – That’s thanks to YOU!
“The plan we have agreed is that although we not quite at the point to offer a full service Immediately (we’re about halfway to covering the cost of a full service), we do want to get back out helping as much as we can in stages – This way we can hopefully ensure the rescue over the long term!
“We are going to reopen our doors on the 20-21st July (a lot sooner than we expected, again THANK YOU) With an emergency service focusing on our most common admissions/rescues.” they said.
They provided a list of common admissions/rescues:
• Birds of Prey & Owls
• Migratory Birds
• Bats (where possible)
• Gamebirds
• Garden Birds
• Gulls
• Marine Mammals
• Pigeons
• Rabbits & Hares
• Seabirds
• Waterfowl (Large)
• Waterfowl (Small)
• Foxes/badgers (Those needing emergency/lifesaving care)
“We will still do as much as we can with ALL other wildlife too, we’re just working on what we can do sustainably to keep the rescue open.
There is still a lot to do in the meantime and we’re responding to as many messages as we can, if you’re waiting for a reply on how you can help, we will be with you ASAP!
We know it’s a big task, but for those who can help us get back open to full capacity, please donate at the link below:
“A big thank you to our volunteers who have still be supporting us during this tough time, those offering to help and those who have contributed and/or set up a monthly donation…We can do this!” they concluded.
