By Cleethorpes Comic Con to host Gladiators and Harry Potter actor
This year’s Beachside Comic Con will see stars from the hit 90’s show Gladiators and a star from the hit Harry Potter franchise head to Cleethorpes.
Held at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July, a host of famous faces will be appearing at the seaside resort such as an iconic Gladiators duo and Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman.
Gladiators, which ran from 1992-2002, saw ordinary people facing off against the athletic gladiators in a series of physically straining challenges.
Nikki ‘Scorpio’ Diamond and Michael ‘Cobra’ Willson will be coming to Cleethorpes after featuring in a number of series around the globe.
Cobra, who now lives in the West Midlands, continues with various hobbies such as watercolours whilst Scorpio runs a martial arts centre with her partner.
Josh Herdman who played the role of one of Draco Malfoy’s henchman, Gregory Goyle, in the wizarding franchise and also starred as Eric Davidson in the crime drama Marcella will be joining the Gladiator duo.
Former Doctor Who and Emmerdale actor Frazer Hines will be revisiting the resort after appearing in Grimsby to star alongside Vicki Michelle and John D Collins of ‘Allo ‘Allo fame in last year’s pantomime at the Grimsby Auditorium.
There will also be a number of artists who have worked for famous franchises like Marvel and The Beano with famous props also making an appearance.
Willy’s Mercedes Benz 1942 jeep from the Captain America films will be on show with some Ghostbusters favourites also at the event.
A number of activities will also be available to anyone who comes along including a surf simulator, glitter tattoos and a slime corner.
