Full Sue Gray report made public: here’s what she said
The long awaited Sue Gray report has now been published in its entirety and made available to the British public.
Ms Gray reiterates her previous findings that the gatherings and actions are “hard to justify” and that they should not have been allowed to take place.
The full report can be found on the government website but here is a round-up of her most crucial points.
In the conclusion of her report, Sue Gray says her initial findings from her interim report – blaming a “failure of leadership” for the parties in Downing Street – “still stand”.
She adds: “Whatever the initial intent, what took place at many of these gatherings and the way in which they developed was not in line with Covid guidance at the time.
“Even allowing for the extraordinary pressures officials and advisers were under, the factual findings of this report illustrate some attitudes and behaviours inconsistent with that guidance.”
She was the police investigation shows “a large number of individuals” were involved.
Along with her findings of failures in leadership and standards, Ms Gray released previously unseen images of the PM, Rishi Sunak and other government officials attending these events.
The featured image shows the PM at an event on 19 June 2020 in Downing Street where he and other officials celebrated his birthday.
Other images, including ones recently released by ITV showing a gatering on 13 Novmber 2020 for the departure of an adviser, also show covid guidlines being broken.

Some faces have been blurred out for safe gaurding reasons but the PM and other notable figures can be seen in the footage.
Sue Gray adds that government officials and senior members must bear responsibilty for these events and the culture in Downing Street, stating that: “Whatever the initial intent, what took place at many of these gatherings and the way in which they developed was not in line with Covid guidance at the time.”
