Man charged with affray and ABH after violent scenes on Cleethorpes Promenade

A 31-year-old man from Doncaster has been charged with ABH (assault occasioning actual bodily harm) and affray following violent scenes on Cleethorpes Promenade yesterday.

He was arrested on North Promenade, initially for three counts of assault, one count of criminal damage and one count of public disorder.

Subsequently, the man was charged with affray and ABH.

According to a statement by Humberside Police, there were “numerous reports of him shouting and being under the influence of alcohol.”

“A man who tried to engage with him was assaulted and sustained minor injuries,” added the statement.

He is set to appear in court at a later date.
