Local resident OBE QN shortlisted for Care and Compassion Award

NAViGO Service Development Manager Anne Darby OBE QN recognised for care and compassion in Parliamentary awards.

Miss Darby has been shortlisted for NHS Parliamentary Care and Compassion Award after being nominated by Grimsby MP Melanie Onn and will now compete for the national prize on the 10th of June.

A Grimsby resident who spent 35 years striving to improve the health and wellbeing care of vulnerable and marginalised groups in her local area has been recognised on a regional level for outstanding care and compassion in her work.

Anne Derby OBE QN has been selected as the shortlisted candidate for the North East for the Care and Compassion Award as part of the NHS Parliamentary Awards. These awards allow MPs to nominate exceptional NHS staff in their community that go above and beyond the call of duty to improve the lives of those who end up in their care.

Anne was nominated by Great Grimsby MP Melanie Onn and was praised for her realisation that traditional services were not meeting the needs of marginalised, complex and vulnerable individuals and families and the time and effort she has put into creating services that are inclusive and allow those involved to engage with the right providers.

The national awards will be held on the 10th of July when Anne will go against other shortlisted regional winners across the country for the national Care and Compassion award.
