16-year-old left seriously injured in collision
An incident has left a young boy with possibly life-threatening injuries after a collision in Grimsby.
According to reports, a 16-year-old boy has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car on Cross Coates Road.
He was travelling on his push bike when he was hit by a blue Seat Ibiza at about 2.15 pm yesterday. The driver of the Seat was extremely shaken but not injured.
According to witnesses, the road was closed for several hours and the air ambulance was seen present. The car was travelling along Cross Coates Road from Yarborough Road in the direction of Littlefield Road.
The cyclist was travelling towards Yarborough Road at the time of the collision.
Humberside Polie is appealing for witnesses to the collision and the driver of a white van which is believed to have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision.
They are also appealing to any drivers that have dash cam footage that may have captured something that would assist with the investigation.
