Four arrested after ‘ram raid’ robbery destroys children’s clothing store
Four people have now been arrested after a ‘ram raid’ robbery saw a gang smash through a shop window on quad bikes.
Dramatic footage released by police showed the moment that the glass door shattered after an unknown group climbed onto bikes and collided with the shop.
The Cleethorpes store, Betty Mckenzie, was targeted on 14 June, when offices chased four masked men down to Peaks Parkway where a quad bike was discovered.
The gang took off with thousands of pounds worth of designer children’s clothing, leaving the owners devastated.
Humberside Police have now confirmed that three men and a woman have been arrested after property and cash were recovered.
The group have been released as police continue their investigation as they ask for information that could help.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Four people, three men and one woman, have been arrested and property and cash has been recovered following our enquiries into a burglary at a children’s clothing store in the Market Place, Cleethorpes on 14 June 2022.
“The four people that were arrested have now been released pending further enquiries and we continue to appeal for information that would help with our investigations.
“We are also interested in speaking to anyone who saw a quad bike and motorcycles in the area of the marketplace around the time of the burglary.
