UK ticket holder wins record £184 million jackpot
A UK ticket-holder has won the £184m EuroMillions jackpot, the country’s biggest-ever National Lottery prize.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29 – plus Lucky Star numbers 4 and 9.
15 UK players have now won jackpots of more than £100m since EuroMillions launched in 2004.
Last night’s winnings exceed the wealth of A list British celebrities including singer Adele (£130m) and boxer Anthony Joshua (£115m).
Camelot, the company which runs the National Lottery, is waiting for the winner to come forward.
It is not yet known if the prize will be pocketed by an individual or whether the ticket was bought on behalf of a syndicate – a group of players who commit to buying a number of tickets and agree to share the spoils.
The previous biggest lottery win in the UK was £170m in October 2019 in which the winner chose to remain anonymous.
Once the ticket has been validated and the winnings paid, the ticket holder can choose if they wish to be identified.
“What an amazing night for one UK ticket holder who has scooped the incredible £184m EuroMillions jackpot,” said Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, on Tuesday
“They have become the UK’s biggest ever National Lottery winner,” he added.
“Players are urged to check their tickets and give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”
