By Locals rejoice as exclusive Cleethorpes Addidas trainers arrive
Cleethorpes residents have started to receive their exclusive addidas trainers as the brand launches their seaside collection.
Adidas has launched an exclusive new range of trainers chronicling the British seaside, with styles focusing on Brighton, Blackpool and Cleethorpes.
A statement issued by retailer Size called the collection “a celebration of seaside tradition and the sentimental fragments that derive from these locations.”
It added that the blue and red Cleethorpes design celebrates “the beloved Marklews chippy” and described the shoe as a “little piece of town heritage with a really striking colourway that’s replicated on the shoe.”
The design also features the area postcode while a lace tip nods to Cleethorpes Town F.C.
Docks Beers hosted the launch event on Thursday as they served their Seaside Series-inspired beer in collaboration with size?.
Taking to social media to share their excitement, one local said: “Different delivery today. Very happy with these Adidas BC trainer ‘Cleethorpes’. Pity I need to wait a few months for summer good weather to wear them.”
Another said: “A very personal release for me so I’m unashamedly bias. But this pack is one my favourites in a long time.”
Others shared how the collaboration would help promote the town, stating: “As an Adidas collector of 25+ years this size and Docks Beers collab is Sublime. Great positivity for our town.”
Each pair is priced between £75 and £80.
