Docks Beers ‘immortalises’ Cleethorpes in Size? Partnership

Local brewery Docks Beers has released a trio of beers in partnership with Size? following the release of the limited edition adidas Originals Baltic Cup Trainer ‘Seaside Series’.

The beers are being sold as a ‘shoebox’ set of three.

The box also includes a matching glass and three postcards featuring the beer designs to show iconic imagery from each town.

The Cleethorpes design features seagulls stealing chips in front of the famous Ferris Wheel on the North Prom.

The colours are inspired by Marklews Fisheries

Docks Beers said: “These limited edition beers celebrate the three iconic coastal locations immortalized by the trainers: Brighton, Blackpool and Cleethorpes.

“Named after their postcodes, the beers are: BN1 – Seabuckthorn IPA 5.6%, FY1 – Session Pale Ale 4.2%, DN35 – Lemon Lager 4.7%

“The trainers are sure to become collectibles, and we think you will want the beers in your life too.”

Luke Matthews, Brand Manager at size?, commented: “After the size? and adidas city series and the iconic island series, this new seaside series of shoes pays tribute to the exotic UK locations we all remember growing up. We picked Brighton, Blackpool and my favourite, Cleethorpes.

“The adidas Baltic Cup shoe has been designed to reflect an iconic location in each town. The inspiration for the colours of the Cleethorpes trainer is my favourite chip shop, Marklews Fisheries. I’m originally from the area and wanted to find colours that everyone would instantly recognize as Cleethorpes.”

The beers are to be launched alongside the trainers on Thursday 8th December at a special gig in Docks Academy, the music venue above Docks Beers.

You can buy the set online now or from Docks Beers in Grimsby.
