By Local village to expand by 40%
North Thoresby is set to increase by 40% after major housing plans were approved despite objections from locals.
The proposal will see 198 new homes built.
The plans have been given the go ahead despite over 160 locals lodging objections due to concerns over local infrastructure and who lodged complaints about how the local road network would be affected and the environmental impact.
The proposal was initially rejected following concerns that the development would be too isolated from the rest of the village.
Now, a new modified version detailing the new estate off Ludborough Road in North Thoresby has been met with approval.
