Innocent dog walker falls victim to horrific abuse
An innocent dog walker fell victim to a string of horrific verbal abuse last night in Cleethorpes.
Last night (4 July) whilst walking the family dog, an innocent trip along the promenade turned sour after the victim was targeted by two youths hurling deplorable insults and heinous accusations at them.
In addition to shouting disgusting remarks, the two youths are said to have attempted to “rile up” the dog by shouting and barking in its direction.
Speaking in pure disbelief after the incident unfolded, the victim urged parents to “have a word” with their children, adding “there are far more constructive” things that children can enjoy instead of being out on the streets causing trouble.
“Just walking on the prom with my dog – I don’t live here but visiting as my mum is in hospital – and had abuse shouted at me by two lads,” the post said.
“Both similar height, one dressed in black shorts and top, black footwear, the other grey hoodie, black shorts and black footwear.
“Shouted abuse at me and were trying to rile my dog up by barking at him. Ran past me and don’t think they expected me to follow to ask what they wanted! Called me a paedo and claimed to be filming me, disappeared behind the leisure centre and then down Cromwell grove.”
Emulating the victim’s frustration, locals were quick to issue strong condemnation of the evening’s incident, with one saying:
“I’m so sorry this happened to you. Bless you. That’s all you needed when you were having a nice walk with your dog and your mum in hospital. I hope you are alright.”
“I am so sorry you have had this happen. Hope your mum is better soon,” replied another thoughtful local.
“It’s about time they were stopped. Age shouldn’t matter, the more they get away with it, the more they will do,” argued one resident.
