St Peter’s Avenue closed following multi-vehicle collision

St Peter’s Avenue in Cleethorpes closed this morning after a multi-vehicle collision prompted response from emergency services.

At half-past 7 this morning a grey Ford Mondeo collided with two parked vehicles down the popular high street.

Fire engines and police cars sped to the scene, causing the road to be closed as they dealt with the incident.

Two people have be taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be serious.

The top half of the avenue is currently closed as police linger at the scene carrying out enquiries.

Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on St Peter’s Avenue, Cleethorpes, at around 7:40am this morning (Friday 17 June).

“It is reported that a grey Ford Mondeo collided into parked vehicles. Two people have been taken to hospital to be checked over for injuries.
