Tragedy after emergency services called to Cleethorpes shop
A person has sadly died today after emergency services were called to a shop on Brereton Avenue in Cleethorpes this morning.
At around 7 am today (Thursday, May 26), it is understood emergency services were called to the Today’s Local newsagents, situated at the junction of Brereton Avenue and Barcroft Street.
The response was listed with the reason for a “medical emergency”.
Police cars, an ambulance, and a paramedic in a fast response car were at the scene.
A spokesperson for the East Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“We received a call at 6.49 am on May 26 to a commercial address in Cleethorpes. The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a fast response car and a crewed ambulance.”
Humberside Police confirmed the tragic news that a person has died.
A spokesperson for the force said: “This looks sadly to be a death. There are no suspicious circumstances.”
