Humberside Police have released a statement regarding the dramatic scenes yesterday in Cleethorpes.
There were multiple police vehicles in attendance at a flat on Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes, yesterday evening.
In their statement they said:
“Officers carried out enquiries at an address on Alexandra Road in Cleethorpes yesterday evening, Thursday 19 May, as part of ongoing investigations into reported robberies earlier this week.”
Police surrounded a building yesterday with armed response officers seen on the scene.
The flat on Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes, was swarmed by officers attending the scene yesterday evening (Thursday).
Armed police were among various officers called to a flat above a café and ice cream shop.
According to reports, a male was led away to a police van in handcuffs.
Armed police entered the building and two more youths, who looked to be in their teens or early 20s were seen being escorted from the building to a police van.
Police were seen with telescopic ladders, with reports suggesting they were searching a roof space.
Four armed response cars were at the scene along with several police cars and vans.
