By ‘Hi-vis man’ caught on CCTV stealing from local business
A thief who has been dubbed ‘Hi-vis man’ has been caught on CCTV stealing from a local business.
The video shows an unknown man wearing a hi-vis jacket stealing a pair of ladders from Crown Paints in Grimsby.
According to the business, four ladders were stolen in total.
Despite being stolen from, the company managed to see the humour in the situation, using emojis and asking for ladders to come “home safe”.
Crown Paints Grimsby shared the video on their Facebook page, stating: “Meet Hi-Vis man. Hi-Vis man likes to steal ladders. 4 of them in fact. We here at Crown Paints Grimsby understand times are tough but you don’t need to resort to stealing our ladders.
“So if anyone was traveling near the store on Saturday 2nd of April between the hours of 10 and 4 and has information they feel we can pass onto the police we can get one step closer to catching Hi-Vis man.
“We miss our ladders.. we just want to see them home safe!”
