North Promenade ‘Luminations’ to be switched on in February
A new light installation on the North Promenade in Cleethorpes, ‘Luminations’, is on its way to being completed by February.
Luminations, funded by the Coastal Communities Fund, will help brighten up the coast each night, making it safer for locals.
The artwork was created by Esther Rolinson in collaboration with The Lightlab.
Builders have been seen working alongside the beach to finish the project which has been praised by visitors and residents alike.
The new lights aim to liven up the seaside town and bring in more visitors.
The project began in autumn last year but is finally beginning to take form.
The new lighting columns were put up in September 2021 with the installation’s construction planned for the following month.
The lights are now beginning to take shape as they are being hung across the North Promenade.
The official switch on is due to take place in February.
