Woman left with facial injuries after incident in Cleethorpes

Humberside Police are appealing for information after a woman sustained injuries following an incident in Cleethorpes earlier this month.

An altercation is said to have taken place on High Street, Cleethorpes, at around 3:55am on Sunday 5 December.

A man and woman are thought to have been involved in the incident, which resulted the women being assaulted.

She sustained facial injuries as a result.

The women is then believed to have waited for a taxi outside a takeaway close to Osborne Street.

Officers are now attempting establish the circumstances of the incident, and are seeking witnesses to come forward.

In a public appeal, a spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an incident on High Street, Cleethorpes.

“At approximately 3:55am on Sunday 5 December, a man and woman are believed to have been involved in an altercation, as a result the women was assaulted and sustained facial injuries.

“Following the incident, the women is believed to have waited for a taxi outside a takeaway close to Osborne Street, Cleethorpes.

“Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or was stood outside of the takeaway to come forward to help us establish the circumstances of the incident.”
