Update after 11-year-old hit by car
Lincolnshire Police have released an update following their earlier appeal regarding a collision involving a car and an 11-year-old girl.
The incident took place on North Holme Road near to Louth Academy yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 14 December.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.35pm, and the road was closed to motorists while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The road reopened at around 4.45pm.
Now, in an update issued by Lincolnshire Police, the 11-year-old girl has been confirmed to have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Incident 298 refers to an RTC on North Holme Road, near to the crossing and in the location of Louth Academy North Campus.
“One vehicle was involved, a white Ford Focus and an 11-year-old girl.
“The girl received injuries described as serious and was taken to Grimsby Hospital. The road was closed at the time of the incident and reopened around 4.45pm.”
