Man caught ‘intruding’ at CEMEX site

A man has been arrested after he was found snooping around the CEMEX site in South Ferriby.

Police were called to the site during the early hours of the morning on Thursday 12 August.

They attended with the assistance of the  Roads Policing and dog sections, as well as Drone capability from Humberside Fire & Rescue Service.

After a thorough search of the site, quarry and surrounding area, officers located the culprit.

The male suspect was arrested for burglary and going equipped to steal.

A vehicle used in the incident seized.

The suspect is now in police custody.

Speaking via Facebook, a spokesperson for the force said: “We received reports of intruders on the CEMEX site during the early hours of the morning.

“A search of the site, quarry and surrounding area was completed with assistance from our Roads Policing and Dog 🐶 sections, as well as Drone capability from Humberside Fire & Rescue Service

“After a thorough search we have a male in our custody for Burglary and going equipped to steal, and a vehicle used in the incident seized”
