‘Human bone’ found on Cleethorpes beach
Police have been informed about a ‘human’ like bone discovered on Cleethorpes beach by dog walker on Monday afternoon.

A member of the public was walking their dog near Buck Beck beach bench where they saw the bone sticking out from the sand.
After approaching the discovery and inspected the bone he believed it resembled a human femur (thigh).
He took a picture of it to check online whether it might be human when he got home, before reporting it to Humberside Police.
The dog walker said: “It’s not what I expected to find on a dog walk, it was actually my dog that found it being curious.”
“I assumed it was a stick at first, took a photo and then googled it when I got home to confirm.”
He added the bone seemed very old and did not feel shocked after finding it on his walk it but felt it was important to tell the police just in case the discovery was more sinister due to resemblance to a human thigh bone.
Officers from Humberside Police have now confirmed after an investigation it was not human and that it was in fact an animal bone.
They believe it had washed up on the shore after a memorial burial.
