YouTube and Gmail among services hit in global Google outage
YouTube and Gmail are among Google services suffering an unexplained outage affecting users across the globe, with users across the world being faced with a ‘something went wrong’ error when they try to access the services.
Outage monitoring website ‘DownDetector‘, noted a spike in reports of difficulties accessing platforms at around 11.30 this morning.
They included submissions by more than 12,000 YouTube users.
Google said it was “aware of the problem” and that a majority of customers were unable to access services, including Google Docs.
The majority of YouTube users are having issues while watching videos while some are having issues accessing the website.
Google did not, however, give a reason for the outage.
