As M&S spark backlash would you happy to use gender-neutral changing rooms?
M&S has sparked a backlash after telling male and female customers to use whichever fitting rooms they feel most comfortable in but it has sparked a backlash from customers. One customer asked M&S to clarify their policy after a man entered the women’s cubicle when a teenage girl was having a bra fitting. She does not believe that men should have access to female spaces in changing rooms. M&S stated that as a business they strive to be inclusive and therefore allow customers the choice of which fitting room they feel comfortable to use in respect of how they identify themselves. They want to make it clear that if any customer acted inappropriately or cause intentional offence, the necessary action would be taken.
The policy has caused a furious backlash among male and female shoppers on social media with calls to backlash the store from some people if they do not reverse the decision.
