Rutland Street Stabbing: Appeal for Witnesses

Following the serious assault in Rutland Street Grimsby in the early hours of yesterday morning, Police are urgently appealing for witnesses who may have information that will help with their enquiries.

The attack, believed to be a robbery, occurred around 2.20am Monday morning and a man was taken to hospital having sustained serious injuries. It is belived he was stabbed more than 20 times across his face and body.

The victim has knife wounds to his chest and arms and has also sustained head injuries following the assault. Witnesses state that a group of around four men and youths attacked the victim in the street.

Humberside Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call them on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 37 14/10/19.
