Warning of bogus tree surgeons in the Waltham and Humberston area.
Community team, Knoll Street street police station has warned of suspicious activity of several males targeting residential homes in New Waltham, and Humberston pretending to be tree surgeons, they have been targeting the slightly older generation.
They are gaining entry to homes and asking for cash for cutting down trees. Mainly between 13-00-18-00hrs. Please look after your neighbours and check in with your parents. Do not let anyone into your home without them showing ID cards.
Tradespeople will not cold call or attend after darkunless by prior appointment. Please call 101/999 for any suspicious activity.
