Should grandparents charge for looking after the kids in the school holidays?
Even though you love them to bits and love looking after the grandchildren. During the long summer holidays, it can be a very costly business with days outs, lunches and ice creams. Especially if you are looking after more than one grandchild.
One person told Grimsby Independent that she is late paying bills because of paying petrol, buying food and taking the grandchildren out but she is frightened of speaking up. But others would not hear of charging to look after their grandchildren saying they get paid in love, cuddles and their grandchildren’s beautiful smiles and money cannot buy that.
