Graveyards are full so the dead should be buried by motorways.
A public health expert has suggested that because graveyards and cemeteries are nearly full bodies should be buried by the side of motorways and railway lines.
Professor John Ashton would like to see green burial corridors alongside major transport routes. There are 500,000 deaths each year in England and Wales and within five years graveyards will have no burial space. He believes that there is a need for green burial places. Coffins should be ditched in favour of a new burial method. Which would turn human corpses into compost over 30 days and then the compost could be used to plant a tree or grow crops.
What do you think would this be a good idea?
