Half of the public want a Minister for Men.

A poll has shown that half of the public want a Minister for Men.

The survey commissioned by the controversial Fathers 4 justice group, was carried out by ComRes. Revealed that a third of fathers with children under 18 did not see their children on Father’s Day which is estimated at 2.3million men.

One in five fathers feared losing or had already lost contact with their children. After being denied access to their children a third of men had suffered distress or mental health issues or knew someone that had.

The founder of Fathers 4 justice group said the public need to look beyond the activities of its supporters. But look at the figures that show the appalling scale and reality of the challenges fathers face on a day to day basis.

The group believes that the problems that face men are so acute that the next Prime Minister must appoint a minister for Men and Boys.

Half of British adults agreed because after all there is a Minister for Women. Only one in six of the public disagree.
