Schools warn parents to behave when on WhatsApp.
A number of private and state schools are telling parents that if they post comments that are hurtful to the school or other families the school will remove their children.
Parents with children at the same school are able to share news and tips on their mobile on WhatsApp. The messages could be about wanting to borrow spare football boots, homework deadlines or wear your own clothes days.
But messages have become sinister in some cases, and parents have insulted each other, or shared gossip about teachers, and shared private information about children.
Many schools are adding a clause to the parent school contract which says if parents post comments on social media that can damage the reputation of the school or members of its community they will be asked to remove their children.
