A man who alleged he was being driven mad by a neighbours German Shepherd constantly barking. Snapped and smashed the owner’s car window for revenge.
He went and hit the rear window of the car with a hammer and caused it to smash. Police went to his house in Heneage Road and it is believed he told them The dog is driving me mad I think I’m going to kill it.”
Steven Richardson could take no more of the dog barking and he took his anger out on the owner’s car.
Richardson who was unemployed was given a six month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
He was advised that should contact the council about the noise if he felt it necessary.
