Going to the gym can make us gain weight. A study has warned that exercise can make us put weight on because we tend to eat more to reward ourselves for going to the gym.

Some gym-goers would eat up to a quarter more than usual. After their calorie burning session, they gave themselves bigger portions because they thought they deserved it.

The research was carried out at Loughborough University. It also found that many will reward themselves with chocolate. Consumption of chocolate was up by 20% with females volunteers more likely to treat themselves to chocolate than men.

The study showed that an exercise session results in an increase in the planned intake of a meal after exercise. At least in habitual exercisers.

Seems like We can’t win whatever we do exercise or not exercise.
