A Cleethorpes man was left terrified when two armed men armed with an axe and sword came to his door.
The father from Brereton Ave captured on CCTV when the two armed men tried to smash their way in. He fears that if they had got in he would not be here today.
It is believed that the man does not want to be named for fear of reprisals. But he is shocked that one of the men has only been locked up for 16 weeks.
Corey Ford 22 of no fixed address admitted that he used violence to gain entry to the flat and also to possessing a bladed weapon in public. He was sentenced to 16 weeks at Grimsby Magistrates Court.
The father of several children said the sight on CCTV of one of the men casually carrying a sword down Brereton Ave and approaching his flat is chilling.
He held on to the door handle while calling the police who were amazing and arrived within six minutes.
