Son caused his mother to break two bones in vicious attack.

Alexander Campbell 51, had drunk two bottles of vodka, Police had to use a Taser while arresting him.

He caused his mother to break her wrist and a finger during a nasty confrontation in which he pushed his 75-year-old mother. He was living with his mother at the time but because of his heavy drinking, the relationship had become difficult.

While she was in the kitchen her son threw a pan of vegetables at her for no reason. He became abusive when she challenged him about his behaviour he pushed her forcefully and caused her to fall.

He also admitted to breaching a one-year non-molestation order on December 12th when he went to her home. It is believed that he also had 12 previous offenses.

He did not intend the sort of consequences and is sorry for what he did. The last thing he wanted was to hurt his mother.

He has been in custody since December 13th and has managed to stop drinking which has been his problem. It is thought his mother wants nothing more to do with him which is understandable.

Alexander Campbell was jailed for nine months at Grimsby Magistrates Court and he was given an indefinite restraining order.
