A man has been jailed for a number of historical sexual offences.
Peter Chesman 77 of Lambourne Rise, Bottersford,North Lincolnshire has been sentenced to a 12 year custodial sentence. It will then be followed by a 2 year extended licence.
His victim is now in her 50’s she reported a number of sexual offences.The offences had been committed in the late 1970’s when she was in her early teens.
Victim has shown great courage.
The victim has shown great courage in speaking out. Police hope that this gives other victims confidence to come forward.They have said you will be believed.Everything will be done to support you and bring offenders to justice,even after several years have passed.
