By Seal takes a break on resort beach
A hardy visitor to the resort seemed to be enjoying a spot of sunbathing on Cleethorpes‘ beach this morning.
Cleethorpes Beach Safety team shared a picture of a seal enjoying the view.
A spokesperson said: “Our resort officers were called to check on this little guy this morning. Luckily he is healthy and happy and will find his way back into the tide in his own time.
“It is common for seals to come out of the water to take a break on the beach!”
They added: “If you see him or any other wild animal in our resort keep your distance and keep dogs on leads.
“Seals especially can have a very nasty bite and can become vicious if disturbed.
“Please respect our wildlife, the beach is their habitat.”
