Working as a Teaching Assistant will offer you the chance to work alongside inspirational educators to help progress the learning of students across Years 7-11 to help them to fulfil their educational potential.
You will secure a year-long placement in a highly supportive school environment where you will get the chance to become involved in all aspects of school life.
Teaching Assistant Role:
- Secondary Schools across Richmond-Upon-Thames
- Accelerating the attainment of students aged between 11-16
- Mentor and encourage students in the lead up to GCSE exams
- Full time Teaching Assistant contracts until July 2021
- School Centred Teacher Training available from September 2021
- Interviews typically arranged within 3-5 working days
- Teaching Assistant roles can commence immediately
- £60-£70 per day | Paid weekly
Being a Teaching Assistant will require you to provide appropriate levels of individual attention, reassurance and help for students who are likely to have missed learning opportunities due to recent school closures.
As a Teaching Assistant you will need to have the ability to creatively explain complex theories to students and enable them to access the curriculum. Excellent communication skills are key in this role and the determination, dedication and patience to ensure your students are fulfilling their potential.
Teaching Assistant – Job Requirements:
- A 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree and strong GCSEs and A-Levels
- Child-centred experience working in schools or similar settings
- Evidence to support your passion for improving outcomes for young people
