What is suspected to be a large cannabis factory has been discovered in a property in Freeman Street, Grimsby, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

We were called to reports of a disturbance in the area at around 1.15am on  (Tuesday, 14 January) and while there was no evidence of any incident, officers investigating the reports uncovered around 300 plants.

Detective Inspector Kerry Bull, who is leading the investigation, said: “There’s evidence that someone has been living in the property, so we are working to identify this person and find out who is responsible for setting up the grow.

“If you live or work in the area and you have seen someone coming and going, please get in touch with us and let us know.”

If you believe you can help, please call us on our non-emergency 101 line, quoting log number 20 of January 14.
