Friends actor Courteney Cox has responded with a video after Kanye West stated that he was not a fan of the 90s sitcom.
Earlier this week, West set the record straight on some of his past tweets, admitting he didn’t write many of them. Kanye also clarified that the viral tweet he allegedly posted back in 2020, in response to Jennifer Aniston saying it wasn’t “funny” to vote for him in the presidential election, was also fake:
“I know you guys gonna be disappointed but I actually didn’t write the tweet that said ‘Friends wasn’t funny either’ but I wish I had,” he said. “I’d love to know who thought of that. I like to post comments.”
This caught the attention of Cox, who starred in the series as Monica Geller-Bing for all ten seasons.
The clip shows her scrolling through her phone while listening to Kanye’s hit song Heartless, only to stumble upon his comment about her own show. She abruptly walked over to her speakers and cut Kanye’s music off without a second thought.

Spelling Kanye’s name wrong in her caption, she wrote, “I bet the old Kayne thought Friends was funny.”
The rapper recently denied sharing various posts attributed to him, including one saying ex-wife Kim Kardashian has a diarrhea problem. The original post read: “Kim has diarrhea a lot. Like way more than a normal person should have it”
“This was not from me. Someone copied my style of text and wrote something not funny,” West responded. He also made a dig at Kardashian’ ex boyfriend Pete Davidson; “I love funny people and I think that’s one of the reasons me and Skete could’ve never been friends.”
Addressing the controversy around his social media posts Kanye added, “I like to fight with jokes. Sometimes we gotta laugh to keep from crying even when we dealing with serious topics.”
