Arrests made after attempted ‘child abduction’ in Grimsby

A family has been left shaken following an alleged kidnapping attempt that occurred yesterday, in Grimsby, on the Grange Estate.

It is understood two individuals approached a house on Crowland Avenue, Grimsby, and reportedly attempted to abduct a young girl. The girl’s family has taken to social media to share CCTV footage of the incident.

In her post about the incident, the girl’s Aunt, Toni Tilling said;

“These two tried kidnapping my niece Grange Estate this afternoon police informed, keep a close eye on your children even in your own garden.”

The girl’s mother, Terri Tilling, spoke further about the incident and hopes the pair will be identified.

“I don’t want it to happen to anyone else everyone should be made aware. I read a lot about kids going missing and it’s scary just the thought, never dreamt of it happening this close to home,” she said.

Humberside Police have released a statement regarding the incident:
