Scunthorpe woman sold drugs to police in undercover sting operation
A Scunthorpe woman was caught selling drugs to undercover police officers during a sting operation in the town.
Terri O’Donnell, 30, of Crosby House flats has been jailed after she admitted an offence of supplying Class A drugs.
The 30-year-old admitted supplying heroin and cocaine after being caught in an undercover sting operation, a mission that belonged to a larger crackdown on crime across the town.
Humberside Police launched ‘Operation Patriot’ earlier this year in a bid to tackle the drugs supply network in Northern Lincolnshire.
It is understood that undercover offices dialled phone numbers believed to belong to drug dealers with the hopes of arranging a meeting to intercept and take dealers off the streets.
Wearing plain clothes, police officers eventually managed to arrange a meeting with a drugs supplier on Scunthorpe’s Sheffield Street East back in March. Whilst under surveillance, officers conduct the transaction with O’Donnell.
It is reported that the 30-year-old had 10 previous convictions prior to her newest charges.
Subsequently, O’Donnell was sentenced to two and one moth in prison by Judge Michael Fanning at Grimsby Crown Court.
