Residents frustrated after spate of graffiti and vandalism
Many locals have been left frustrated in recent weeks after an increase in bouts of vandalism and graffiti around the area.
In the most recent attack, two young children were spotted in Keelby spraying graffiti on bins, street signs, and even someone’s vehicle.
The word ‘death’ had been spray-painted across the village, prompting outrage and anger from residents.
Residents urged those who spotted the graffiti to report it to the police as it counts as criminal damage.
Poplar Park in Healing was badly graffitied back in March while the play park in Stallingborough was attacked at the start of the month.
Although it is not known if these three incidents are connected, it is clear that instances of vandalism are increasing.
One local said: “Lots of graffiti in Stallingborough and Healing was on village pages!!! Think too many people aware and eyes about there for them!”
Another said: “It’s all over Healing too just lately. Even where we are on the new builds, only been in a year.”
Many feel that parents are not doing enough to teach or discipline their children over anti-social behaviour.
“Thank goodness for social media in this instance otherwise the graffiti would still be happening. 3 villages were done before being caught. And not just on signs but on people’s vehicles.
“No kids are angels and they all do daft things. The difference is how parents deal with it.”
