Weelsby Street car fire thought to be arson attack

Humberside Police have now confirmed that the fire that badly damaged a car and multiple houses last week is thought to be arson.

On Friday 15 April, a car and houses were damaged in a blaze down Weelsby Street in the early hours of the morning.

Crime Scene Investigators were spotted at the scene later that same morning, with a Volkswagen Golf 1.9 GTI being practically destroyed in the fire.

Some nearby houses were also damaged, with a door and window being burnt and the rendering of some houses also being destroyed.

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze and police are now reviewing CCTV footage to find the culprit.
