Garden thieves continue to target Waltham and Scartho
Residents of Waltham and Scartho have continued to report incidents of garden theft’s after catching people ‘snooping-around’ their gardens.
At least three people in the Waltham and Scartho area reported having items stolen from their gardens yesterday evening.
Locals say they have been left frustrated following months of intrusion and destruction.
A number say they have been left feeling unnerved and uncomfortable in their own homes as a result of the ongoing situation.
Speaking to Gi Grimsby News last month, one resident who caught the culprits on camera said: “They jumped in to our garden from a neighbours garden, their garden is pretty secure too, so assume they did some garden hopping.
“They were in our garden for less than a minute and didn’t take anything, as they didn’t have time to.
“They caused some minor damage to the fence as they legged it over the fence.”

He added that he had reported it to the police, but did not expect action to be taken due to the nature of the incident.
One said: “It blows my mind that people just think it’s okay to break into people’s gardens at night, not a care in the world.”
Another added: “I’m still trying to find out who broke into mine just before Christmas. It’s not just the stuff you lose its the sleepless nights.”
