Twitter confirms it is working on an edit button

According to reports, Twitter has confirmed that it is currently working on an edit button.

The button would allow users to change tweets after they are posted.

A new board member, Tesla boss Elon Musk, had reportedly asked followers for their stance on this addition.

There have been calls for an edit button for quite some time.

Twitter have said they would start testing the concept.

The social media giant said via its communications team ” Now that everyone is asking, yes we’ve been working on an edit feature since last year!”.

According to reports, users of Twitter Blue, a subscription for the service will get early access to the feature.

Jay Sullivan, the company’s vice president of consumer products said ” The most requested Twitter feature for many years”.

Back in 2018, former Twitter boss Jack Dorsey said the firm would ” Probably never” add the feature.

The edit button would allow users to change existing tweets without losing replies, likes and interactions.

Mr. Musk has allegedly had a large influence on Twitter, following the post and announcement of his involvement.

It is certainly suggested Mr. Musk is open to suggestions and interpretations from its users.

With one day of influence, we will see the social media platform’s future.
